PR

3/31/2014

The photo of the 3X2 necklace is up on my gallery page, and the story behind the necklace will be mentioned during the lecture for the show. I wrote a little piece about it, and well... it was well received.  However, I can't stand talking or writing about my work because I don't have the ability to filter my emotions.  Most of the time, I sound like a total idiot!  However, its a necessary evil to speak from the heart about my work.

On other news, the PR for the "Art in the Wild" has started, you can find information about the show in the Oregonian and The Gorge magazine.

I am also collecting wine bottles as part of a piece of work for the Wilderness Act show..  No, I don't plan on drinking the contents-  however wanted to display some recycled art, since the show is about conservation..

Please let me know if you have a few cool empty bottles to spare for the sake of art!   Thanks :)

Loneliness

Picture
Before I have written on my blog the feelings I had about being lonely.  This month, most of my feelings became reality.  I somehow knew it would happen, call it the "Cassandra Syndrome".  -But the people whom I felt who were the closest to me in my life and the ones who I could trust, hurt me the most.

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”
― Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn was horribly insightful to how she was perceived.  Her thoughts were far deeper than many give her credit for...

Fork in the road

3/16/2014

Sometimes, in the path of life the trail is worn down and you know exactly where to go.  Then sometimes the path has a "Y" in it.  Right at this very moment I am at that critical "Y" point.  Looking for signs of where to go and what trail will be the best.

Sorry if I haven't posted to my blog lately-

Will be sharing the photo taken by Douglas Yaple of the piece I collaborated with jeweler Bonnie AuBuchon.  The finished product of the 3X2 project.  The necklace with be at Facere Art Jewelry Gallery in April, then heading to the Museum of Contemporary Craft this summer and to a gallery in the UK.   Will keep you all posted of details of the opening..
